This is my sixth year to teach at Oktaha Public Schools, although I am starting year #34 of teaching! I am honored to work with such a dedicated and professional staff. I am currently teaching Pre-K, but have taught many grades over the span of my career. Most of my teaching experience has been either at the 5th grade level or Kindergarten. I so enjoy teaching Pre-K students and watching them grown and learn so much over the year. This will be my 5th year to teach Pre-K here at Oktaha.
I started my teaching career in 1989. I have taught several grades over that time. I prefer early childhood and their eager to learn mentality. I began teaching here at Oktaha in 2018.
Both of my parents were teachers while I was growing up. Their hard work ethic and willingness to help others as helped shape me into who I am today. One of my grandfathers was also an educator and school administrator.
My 28 year old son and his wife live in Claremonre and their daughter will turn 2 in September. My son is a Tulsa County Deputy. My 25 year old daughter and her husband live in Muskogee. My daughter works at a physical therapist assistant for Saint Francis. My daughter and son in law have a little girl that turned 2 on August 1.
I have three spoiled Dachshunds and a Calico cat. I love to travel with friends and family. I also enjoy swimming, walking and shopping. Three summers ago I vacationed in Colorado with my kids and loved it. I also love to cruise to the Caribbean. I have next crusie booked for early August 2024.
I live in Muskogee and love to work outside in my yard and playing with my dogs. I also enjoy walking, laying out at the pool, watching movies, eating out, and shopping. I absolutely adore my two granddaughters and enjoy time with them!
