MEET THE TEACHER

Hi! My name is Mrs. Shae Strube and I am SO excited to be a part of Oktaha Elementary School! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher this year! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

I was raised in Okay, OK and I am the baby of the family. My mom and sister both coach and teach here at Oktaha……It must run in the family…. :)  My dad retired from Georgia Pacific and now takes care of my sisters softball fields here at Oktaha. My parents have been married for 41 years and continue to inspire me daily.

I have 2 amazingly, beautiful, talented little girls. ( I may be partial… ) Kadence is 15 1/2 and has one of the softest hearts I’ve ever been around.She plays softball and basketball on the weekends. She loves to read,sing,dance and act goofy. KarLee is 12 and has a HUGE personality.She also plays basketball. She loves every baby and any animal she can get her hands on! They definitely know how to keep this momma on her toes!! I’ve been married to my best friend Ross for almost 16 years. We currently live in Muskogee,OK. I have 1 niece BrenLee and 2 nephews Kam and Henry.

I graduated from Oktaha in 2003 and from Northeastern State University in 2007. This will be my 13th year teaching Pre-K here at Oktaha.  I am SO EXCITED for the year to begin!! This is going to be the BEST year ever!!
